New Boat cv23

Postby Trent » Wed Jan 20, 2010 10:52 pm

Just bought a 79 CV23 here in california. Previous owner told me to come here for ideas , help and support. So far I love the site. Cant wait to pick it up next weekend 10 days from now. Looking forward enjoying it the max and the others who may have similar models. I will try and post pics soon. So are there any other cv23 owners on the west coast socal area?

cool boat for sure. anyways, a question about it. The boat has pedestal seats and wondering what the best way to put some extra support under the pedestals? Also is it easier to make my own replacement wind screen or are there ready mades out there for a decent price? Mine is broken on the rear edges but I can modify it for the mean time.

I have a 23CSS (CV23) and recently put a fresh layer of fiberglass resin over the existing deck. That added a good deal of strength. while you are at it you could put some extra fiberglass mat in the pedestal area, too. That's adding strength, not making up for a structural deficiency of course.
