Wanted: Original 1980 Glastron GT 150

Postby Rodre » Thu Oct 27, 2011 9:53 pm

I am looking for a complete and original 1980 (because I like this color scheme the best) Glastron GT 150, preferably a one owner, garage kept and babied cream puff but willing to consider one that needs the floor done if the metal flake and gelcoat just need a cut polish (no cracks) and as long as the hull hasn't been beached and the keel ground down. I would like for it to have the original engine and trailer. I realize that this is a tall order, but hey - you never know. If you have one of these babies and are looking for a good home for it I am ready, willing, and able to make your baby mine. Thanks!

Ok, I'll bite... What was the color scheme for 1980? I have really enjoyed my 79 gt-150 (had it for the better part of 7 years). I've learned that patience is a virtue when looking for the right boat, best of luck in your search!

Thanks! The 1980 has the brown metal flake and cream exterior with the brown interior. I would probably buy a silver one if it had the original silver interior as well.

The brown/cream color combo is really nice. I'm guessing it's one of the harder combinations to find, as I haven't seen many. I'm sure you've seen Honkers gt here in the classifieds? You may be too far away from him, though. Silver is a good back up, I've seen lots of those!

Yes, Honkers is a bute. It is pretty far from me. And I am looking for something that is a bit of a project so I have something to tinker with into spring.

I have a '78 GT-150 that is silver/silver. I was waiting till the spring to advertise it...I'm only interested in selling to move into something larger. It is super clean, but would be a great small winter project to take it to the next level and make it perfect. I'm not sure where you are located, but I'm in Northern Virginia, but the boat is kept in Northeast Pennsylvania.

Add '81 GX-150 to the list

Postby Rodre » Wed Nov 09, 2011 12:20 am

I guess I might as well add the 1981 GX-150 to my list so I can look like this guy driving:

http://www.classicglastron.com/81gl-gx150.html

I prefer the '81 over the '82 because it will match my gold chains better when I dig them out and wear them while driving and entertaining the laidies. Again, I am looking for a complete cream puff, all original, one owner, garage kept, blah-blah-blah. Please let me know whatchya got. Thanks!

BTW, has anyone driven one? what is it like? Is it almost the same size as the GT 150?
